Job summary

SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector in Newport, TN to conduct audits and ensure product quality from raw materials to finished goods. The role supports timely delivery and compliance with QA procedures within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma and 1 year in quality, with ability to read drawings and use basic quality hand tools as needed. The position is onsite in Newport, TN.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality-related role.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic quality hand tools experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit production, finishing and inspection processes to specified standards.
• Assist in ensuring production and timely delivery of products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to improve quality.
• Assist with control plans and work instructions per PFMEAs and QA procedures.
• Promote quality concepts throughout the organization.
• Support 5S and ISO audit activities.
• Ensure daily communication of quality reports and information.

QUALITY INSPECTOR

Salary Range: $15.35 To $19.99 Annually

The Onsite Quality Inspectorwill conduct audits to determine the quality of raw materials, bulk intermediate, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct responsibility for the audits of production, finishing and inspection procedures to specified standards.
• Help ensure the production and timely delivery of products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate effectively with manufacturing personnel and management.
• Assist manufacturing departments with control plan and work instructions in accordance with PFMEAs, Process Flows, Control Plans and company quality management system procedures and customer requirements
• Promote quality concepts and principles throughout SSW Holding Company Inc.
• Assist with 5S and ISO audits.
• Ensure that quality reports and pertinent information are communicated daily.

Position Supervised or Directed:

• Reports to Quality Manager

Qualifications, Experience requirements:

• Degree/Diploma Obtained: Minimum High School Diploma
• 1 year of experience in quality related role. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use basic quality hand tools preferred.

General Requirements:

• Detailed and hands-on oriented.
• Availability to go to the office from Monday to Friday.

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods.
• Frequently indoors.
• Frequently exposed to fumes and loud noises.

Equipment Use:

• Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
