New Balance is seeking a quality inspector for our Nashville, TN Distribution Center to perform finished goods inspections and ensure conformance to standards. The role emphasizes reducing defects, accurate documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to improve quality.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable standing for long shifts while handling lifting requirements. Prior footwear quality inspection experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must distinguish color shades for product quality.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain a safe workplace.
• Familiarity with footwear quality inspection is a plus.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsible for performing quality inspections on finished products.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform quality inspections on finished goods to ensure conformance to standards.
• Maintain focus on reducing thenumberof defectiveproductescapes.
• Stayup to dateon NB’s quality standards and work to ensure your alignment with inspection guidelines.
• Work safely and efficiently to help ensure the department meets its key metrics.
• Capture results of inspections digitally.
• Deliver constructive feedback to key stakeholders around quality results.
• Act as a subject matter expert and partner with other teammembers.
• Conduct both physical and digital movements of product throughout the department.
• Provide feedback on improvement opportunities and participate inimprovement activities.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

• Ability to accurately distinguish and match fine color shades for product quality inspection.

• Background in footwear anda familiaritywith qualityinspectionis a plus.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home School equivalency preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently; ability to match numbers/letters.
• Strong verbal and written skills utilizing appropriate demeanor, proper grammar/spelling, and respectful tone to communicate clearly and effectively; professional phone demeanor.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word,Excel,andOutlook)
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail,learning mind-setandcollaborative mindset/working style.Ability to learn and retain processes and procedures in a changing environment.
• Lifting & Carrying: Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Pushing & Pulling: Able to push and pull up to 75 lbs. safely and repeatedly.
• Mobility & Endurance: Able to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 8+ hours per day, with regular bending, reaching, twisting, crouching, and other dynamic movements.
• Climbing: Able to climb ladders up to 12 feet, where applicable.
• Stair Navigation & Elevated Work: Able to go up and down stairs and work at elevated heights, including on a mezzanine level up to 20 feet, where applicable.

Nashville, TN Distribution Center Only Pay Range: $18.70 - $23.35 - $28.05 Hourly (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
