Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing solutions provider, seeks a Quality Inspector in its Mebane, NC facility to help ensure product quality across manufacturing stages.

You will perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections, use calipers, micrometers, gauges and optical comparators, document defects, and communicate issues to production and engineering for corrective actions. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, electronics or medical devices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies (AQL, SPC).
• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
• Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify dimensions and characteristics.
• Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback to production teams on quality issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality logs, and defect reports.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality discrepancies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
