Job description

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has several immediate openings for Quality Inspectors in Lafayette, IN, with a pay rate of $17/hr. This is a 2nd shift position (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM).

Reports to

Site Supervisor/Site Leads

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

(Including but not limited to the following):

Client Relationship & Business Development

• The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.

Operations

• Perform quality inspections and audits on incoming materials using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
• Identify and contain non-conforming parts or sub-assemblies.
• Rectify non-conforming materials through rework, sorting, or scrapping as directed by the Team Leader.
• Use methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly, and disassembly to rectify non-conforming materials.
• Determine necessary tools and equipment for tasks.
• Clean, grind, sand, and oil parts or sub-assemblies using hand tools or equipment.

Organization & Management

• Communicate inspection results to managers, supervisors, and production teams.

Technical Skills

• Ability to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders, and sanders for repairs and cleaning.
• Utilize the company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
