Job summary

Sonaca North America in Fredonia, KS is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspection of assembled parts and document compliance to the Sonaca North America Quality System under supervision. You will read customer drawings, blueprints and setup sheets, operate the CMM, and exchange data through CAD/CAM and SPC systems, supporting continuous improvement and teamwork on the shop floor.

Our Quality Inspectors inspect products and/or documents at various stages of production, to validate processes and provide documentation required to show compliance to the Sonaca North America Quality System, while under close supervision. Also, read and interpret customer instructions, blueprints, charts and other statistical information; prepare parts and documentation for outside criteria; and participate in work center and other problem-solving teams as requested. **ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** + Start up and operate the CMM following the proper operating and safety procedures. + Read and understand setup sheets and set up jobs per instructions + Read and understand CMM part programs, make minor setup and program adjustments as necessary on a personal computer (PC) system. + Complete data exchange through the CAD/CAM and SPC systems. + Follow parts schedule prepared by the supervisor. Modify the schedule as required to accommodate “hot jobs” or emergency requirements. + Work with CAD/CAM programmers, quality, and production personnel to collect data and resolve problems. + Perform daily routine maintenance on the CMM to ensure the safe and efficient operation. + Participate in work center team and/or other project teams.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES*** High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
