Job summary

Stryten Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections and tests across product areas. You will guide production teams to contain issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions, supporting warranty and customer-compliant processes.

Join a team focused on quality, data-driven decision making, and adherence to IATF16949 procedures while maintaining calibrated equipment and traceable parts across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Strong math and statistics understanding for data-driven decisions.
  • Proven leadership and ability to guide teams.
  • Experience with root cause analysis (5 whys, etc.).
  • Quality-focused mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality audits and inspections per the Control Plan.
  • Contain issues using Hold Tags and communicate to production teams and supervision.
  • Monitor data collection in current SPC systems by the Control Plan.
  • Monitor operator and quality control plan compliance daily.
  • Provide day-to-day quality direction and support with procedures and guidance.
  • Be available to work flexible shifts to ensure proper coverage.
  • Manage Hold Tag status and ensure product disposition meets procedures.
  • Maintain quality workstations and validate gauges and data entry systems.
  • Ensure equipment used for in-process testing is calibrated and conforms to standards.
  • Participate in sampling and ensure parts are picked and labeled for traceability.
  • Audit operators for proper testing techniques.
  • Assist in problem-solving and link actions to Control Plans and PFMEAs.
  • Communicate changes or replacements of work instructions.
  • Participate in corrective action resolution on KPI and customer issues.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist with training of new employees and refresher training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Overview

The Individual is responsible for inspections and tests of product, process, and material for all product areas. Provide guidance and partner with production personnel (supervisors and operators) to contain an issue, determine root cause, and corrective actions. Follow up on customer complaints, including warranty returns that pertain to their shift and departments. Comply with Stryten Energy and IATF 16949 procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality workstations on the shop floor – validate gauges and data entry systems are in good working order
  • Ensure department equipment used for in‑process testing is calibrated and conforms to standard requirements
  • Participate in supplied part and internal part periodic sampling; work with supervisor to ensure parts are picked and labeled for traceability
  • Audit operators for proper testing techniques
  • Assist in problem‑solving initiatives and link actions and outcomes to Control Plans, PFMEA’s, plant inspection points, and Customer returns
  • Communicate changes or replacements of work instructions
  • Participate in corrective action resolution on internal KPI’s and external customer issues (assembly plant complaint and warranty initiatives)
  • Follow established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations
  • Assist with training of all new employees and refresher training when needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge
  • Understand basic math and statistics

Qualifications
  • Standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting
  • Must lift heavy objects and assist in moving machinery or tooling to and from production floor safely
  • Must work in high places, deep pits, and in any weather conditions to support projects
  • Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems

  • Computers and various machine interface screens
  • Maintenance management programs and iPad usage via the Leading to Lean software platform
