Job summary

Cintal, Inc. in East Peoria, IL is seeking workers to perform repetitive quality inspections on machined parts. Responsibilities include visual checks, dimensional measurement, and record-keeping to ensure parts meet print specifications and process standards.

You will review prints, document dimensional data, and enter findings into BIQ/AQE systems while supporting a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for surface damage, rust, burrs and ensure conformance to print dimensions.
• Measure external diameters with external micrometers and internal diameters with internal micrometers.
• Check flatness, runout, surface finish, and threaded hole fit/form/function.
• Record results in Digital BIQ and review lot/NPI data for multiple parts per shift.
• Verify part numbers on tags, packaging, and serial prefixes; ensure correct kit counts.
• Enter defect information into AQE and maintain shift-by-shift quality data.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

Perform a variety of inspections to check the quality and accuracy of parts and record in the appropriate systems as needed.

Per Machining checklists:

• Visual inspection for surface damage (splines and gears)
• Visual inspection for rust
• Visual inspection for burrs
• Review and understand print dimensions for the following checks below:
• Measure external diameters with gages (External Micrometer)
• Measure internal diameters with gages (Internal Micrometer)
• Check flatness
• Check runout
• Check surface finish
• Check threaded holes for fit/form/function
• Check depths with scale/calipers
• Test lot/NPI data recording (Check multiple part dimensions, example size over pins, diameters, lengths, etc)
• Visual inspection of part numbers check that tag matches
• Record findings into Digital BIQ
• Frequency – range of 5-10 to 40 parts checked per shift per person

Per Assembly Checklists:

• Visual Inspection for paint
• Count of ladder clips
• Count of zip ties
• Verify presence of dust caps/covers
• Verification of plug placement (insertion)
• Verify no foreign debris on unit
• Visual inspection for rust
• Visual inspection for bolt presence and torque
• Visual inspection of yolk position
• Visual inspection for presence of snap rings
• Visual inspection for part/arrangement number
• Visual inspection for serial prefix and tags match
• Visual inspection of packaging
• Verify count of parts in kits (ensure correct part #’s)
• Verify no debris in hole (axles)
• Record findings into digital BIQ
• Enter defect information into AQE
• Frequency – range of 5 to 30 parts checked per shift per person
