Job summary

ReeVR is seeking a Quality Inspector for a 12-month contract in Hampshire. The role focuses on welding inspection, fabrication components and NDT coordination, supporting a high-precision engineering project.

The ideal candidate holds a welding inspection or NDT Level 2 certification, with proven inspection experience in engineering/manufacturing environments. You will review drawings, specifications and inspection records and drive quality actions on site.

Qualifications

• Current, valid welding inspection or NDT Level 2 certification.
• Proven experience in welding inspection and the inspection of fabricated parts.
• Previous quality inspection experience within an engineering, manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections of welded fabrications and manufactured components.
• Perform visual weld inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
• Inspect weld preparation, fit-up and completed welds.
• Review engineering drawings, welding documentation and inspection records.
• Coordinate NDT activities and review inspection reports.
• Identify defects, raise non-conformance reports and support corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Work closely with fabrication teams, engineers and quality personnel to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Quality Inspector – Welding & Fabrication

12-Month Contract Outside IR35 Hampshire

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join an engineering and fabrication project on a 12-month contract, with an immediate start available.

This opportunity would suit someone with a strong background in welding inspection, fabricated components and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections of welded fabrications and manufactured components.
• Perform visual weld inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
• Inspect weld preparation, fit-up and completed welds.
• Review engineering drawings, welding documentation and inspection records.
• Coordinate NDT activities and review inspection reports.

Essential Requirements

Desirable

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or PCN Welding Inspector Level 2 qualification.
• Experience with relevant welding codes, standards and quality management systems.
• Refinish inspection experience.
