Isembard is seeking a hands-on QC Inspector for our Dallas factory, focusing on precision component inspection for aerospace, defense and energy programs. You will verify features that matter, document results in MasonOS and FlatBOM, and ensure on-time disposition decisions to avoid bottlenecks.
Main tasks include visual and dimensional checks, reading drawings, reviewing certifications, and maintaining equipment calibration.
Isembard is building a network of high-performance factories for critical industries. We combine advanced machine tools, robotics and our own software, MasonOS, to make precision components for aerospace, defense, energy and frontier technology companies, with factories across the US, UK, Germany and France. Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.
You are the last honest measurement between the machine and the customer. Our Dallas factory ships precision components into aerospace, defense and energy programs, and this role makes sure every feature that matters is verified, documented and dispositioned.
It is a hands-on inspection role covering parts on the floor, incoming material and outgoing shipments, done without inspection becoming the bottleneck that holds up flow.
Inspect parts entering QC after cleaning, with visual and dimensional checks using the right tools.
Read drawings and part requirements, and check parts against them.
Inspect incoming material and outgoing shipments, including certifications, labels and paperwork.
Record results accurately in MasonOS and FlatBOM.
Flag and segregate nonconforming parts, and support rework and disposition decisions.
Help keep inspection equipment calibrated and in good condition.
Suggest improvements to QC processes and SOPs.
Inspection, QC or shop-floor experience in manufacturing.
Confidence reading technical drawings.
Comfort using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and similar tools.
Attention to detail and ownership: you notice what others missed.
Comfort in a hands-on factory setting.
Clear communication when something is wrong.
CMM or metrology experience.
GD&T.
Precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense or energy experience.
AS9100 or ISO 9001 familiarity.
One-on-one mentorship and room to advance as the quality function grows.
Tangible work on parts for critical industries.
Competitive salary and equity.
Medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off and parental leave, Wellhub gym and wellness membership, and a stocked kitchen at the factory.
Location: On-site at our Dallas-Fort Worth factory in Carrollton, TX.
