Job summary

Teledyne Cable Solutions in Dallas, TX is hiring a Quality Inspector II to ensure materials and finished products meet engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements before release. You will work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to maintain a strong quality culture while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence, including audits and corrective actions.

Target pay range: $19.00-$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Strong inspection, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using inspection tools (microscopes, multimeters, calipers, gauges).
  • Quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (2–5 years).
  • IPC certifications (J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using visual, dimensional, and electrical methods.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot inspection and test equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming material.
  • Record inspection results in ERP and quality systems.
  • Support nonconformance and corrective action activities.
  • Verify calibration and condition of inspection equipment.
  • Support final product release, packaging, and documentation checks.
  • Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced inspectors.

Teledyne Cable Solutions (TCS), located in Dallas, TX, is a vertically integrated manufacturer of cable and cable assemblies for demanding industries such as Subsea and Marine, Defense, Medical, Oil and Gas, and Industrial.

Your role in the company

As a Quality Inspector II, you play a critical role in protecting our products, customers, and reputation.

You ensure that materials and finished products meet engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements before they move forward.

Working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, you help maintain a strong quality culture while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

What you need
  • Strong inspection, analytical, and problem-solving skills – required
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications – required
  • Experience using inspection tools (microscopes, multimeters, calipers, gauges) – required
  • Quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (2–5 years) – required
  • Experience with ERP or quality management systems – preferred
  • IPC certifications (J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620) – preferred
  • Aerospace or defense inspection experience, including First Article Inspection – a plus
  • High school diploma or GED – required; technical or vocational training – preferred
Other Qualifications
  • Must hold U.S. Person status for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.

Target pay range: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

This position is 100% onsite in Dallas, TX.

Core hours are 6am-2:45pm Monday-Friday with availability for overtime Monday through Saturday.
