BAUER Equipment America in Conroe, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the quality team. The role focuses on product verification, inspection, NCR management, and calibration support at the Conroe facility.

The position requires CWI per AWS D1.1, Level II NDT, and experience with Faro arm, SAP, and Jira. Some travel to supplier locations may be required to ensure compliance and quality across sites.

Qualifications

• CWI according to AWS D1.1 or similar standards.
• Level II NDT certificate.
• Magnetic Particle Testing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify product configuration and identification.
• Train welding personnel on repair methods.
• Document welder certifications and update welding matrix.
• Inspect and document non-conformances (NCRs).
• Maintain quality records in SAP and Jira.
• Verify Mill Test Reports (MTR).
• Perform incoming inspections with Faro arm and precision tools.
• Calibrate and verify measurement equipment.
• Support Bauer Production System initiatives.
• Perform non-destructive examination as needed.
• Read blueprints and specs.
• Monitor production to meet standards.
• Suggest adjustments to assembly and production teams.
• Inspect/test/measure materials or products.
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Tag products that fail specifications.
• Discuss results with responsible personnel.
• Report data to supervisors.
• Occasional travel to supplier sites (out of state or country).

We are headquartered in Conroe, Texas and we operate a facility in Livermore, California.

We are looking for a Quality Inspector for our Conroe, TX location. This position would report to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

• Verifies product configuration and identification.
• Trains welding personnel on repair methods.
• Documents and communicates welder certifications and updates the welding matrix.
• Inspects and documents non compliances through Non Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Maintains and documents control quality records from vendors and in-house processes in SAP and Jira.
• Perform Mill Test Reports (MTR) verification.
• Performs incoming inspections using Faro arm, calipers, OD/ID mics and/or similar equipment.
• Performs calibration and verification.
• Supports implementation of the Bauer Production System.
• Performs non-destructive examination for magnetic particle testing.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
• Recommend adjustments to the assembly, production and direct supervisors.
• Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Remove and tag all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for product.
• Report inspection and test data to the assembly, production and direct supervisors.
• Conduct in process and final inspections at supplier locations (this can include occasional traveling out of state and the country)

Requirements

• CWI according to AWS D1.1 or similar standards. Level II NDT certificate. Magnetic Particle Testing a plus.
• Strong math background. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Good organizational / task tracking skills. Knowledge of GD&T Able to manage priorities for multiple assignments. Experience with a faro arm and Knowledge of hydraulics a plus.
• At least five years’ experience working in quality control, or as deemed sufficient by management.
