Job summary

Howmet in Berea, Ohio seeks a Quality Inspector to join the Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team on 1st shift. You will ensure product conformity to blueprints and inspect hardware with calipers, micrometers, and other equipment, while reviewing work orders and ERP records for compliance.

The role requires at least 3 years of related experience, strong calibration skills, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training.
• Extensive experience in calibration and standards.
• Familiar with ERP systems (JD Edwards mentioned).

Responsibilities

• Must ensure product conformity to blueprint.
• Inspect hardware using inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc).
• Review work order for completion of operations and documentations.
• Review ERP (JD Edwards) system for retained information.
• Review raw material certificates and conformity to standards.
• Provide manufacturing technical support as GD&T SME.
• Support Quality Engineers to ensure QMS compliance.
• Interface with internal departments to control materials, services and products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

As a Quality Inspector, you'll be part of our Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team located in Berea, OH on 1st Shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Must ensure product conformity to blueprint.
• Inspect hardware using various inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, comparator, height stand, indicator, profilometer, hardness tester, etc.
• Review work order for completion of operations and required documentations.
• Review ERP (JD Edwards) system for required retained information.
• Review raw material certificates and ensure conformity to industry or internal standards.
• Provide manufacturing technical support as GD&T subject matter expert.
• Support the Quality Engineers to ensure products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Interface with internal departments to engage in activities that ensure continuous control over material, services and products.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.
• Extensive experience in calibration and standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, ERP experience preferred.
