The Quality Inspector is an entry‑level position responsible for performing basic inspections of aerospace components, assemblies, and materials under supervision. This role focuses on learning aerospace quality standards, inspection techniques, and documentation requirements while supporting compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer specifications.

A pioneer in the production and assembly of complex aerostructures—including aircraft and rocket components, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers, and advanced composite products—MRA Systems applies the latest digital technologies and automation in composite design and manufacturing. We are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, leveraging an expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as our materials and processing expertise.
MACHINED PARTS AND WELDMENTS: Inspects highly complex parts, checking numerous dimensions, curves, and angles. Establishes reference points, uses precision instruments, and performs limited mathematical computations to verify interrelated dimensions.
Inspects parts of average complexity, establishing procedures and facilitating inspection by standardizing check points.
Checks component and overall dimensions, hole patterns, trim lines, fits, and parallelisms to verify workmanship and conformance to drawings and specifications.
TOOL & CALIBRATION: Inspects tool, die, jig, or fixture utilizing precision measurements, performing limited mathematical computations, and verifies working points on surface tables.
CHEMICAL: Performs simple chemical tests to determine nature of substance and interprets laboratory analysis to determine conformance.
ASSEMBLY: Inspects all small parts, sub‑assemblies, and major assemblies for clearances, tightness, and proper alignment; analyses functional difficulties and recommends adjustments.
PRODUCT SYSTEMS: Inspects sub‑assemblies and assemblies for conformance to specifications, clearances, fit tolerances, alignment, and security; evaluates inspection difficulties and recommends corrective action.
BONDING: Inspects development and initial setup of prototype bonded honeycomb and/or metal assemblies, checks fit and clearances, and monitors bonding quality.
FINISHING AND PLATING: Inspects metal detail parts for anodic and other plating processes, checks appearance, thickness, and adherence, and monitors finishing process for uniformity and adherence.
Ability to stand and perform work duties for an extended period and perform hands‑on inspection tasks.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Ability to work in various temperatures (warm, hot, cold, freezing) to complete warehouse tasks.
Ability to work in an environment that includes dust and other debris.
Must be able to successfully complete all medical surveillance requirements.

Salary for this role: $20.00 per hour. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
