Job summary

General Fasteners Company in Southfield, MI is seeking a full-time Quality Inspection Technician to join a stable, growth-oriented team. You will inspect fasteners, perform tests, review certifications, and document results, ensuring conformance to specifications.

The role involves operating gauges, generating rejection reports, and supporting audits. A strong focus on detail, communication with customers and suppliers, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associates degree or higher or 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Epicor is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fasteners and related products for conformance to specifications.
• Review certifications for conformance to specifications.
• Operate gauges and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, ring and plug gauges, hardness tester, optical comparator).
• Create and distribute rejection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding technical needs.
• Assist with internal and external audits and participate in continuous improvement.
