Job summary

Quest Global in Enfield, CT seeks a Quality Inspection Technician to review aero-engine hardware at Receiving, process quality records, verify documentation, and enter data into customer systems and portals.

You will perform gaging with GD&T interpretation, support FAIR packages, and document non-conforming material while collaborating with the project team in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Reading and applying blueprints and quality requirements
  • Understanding GD&T and applications to gaging
  • Performing manual inspections with hand tools and optical devices
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and compiling technical records (C of C)
  • Entering data into forms and systems accurately
  • Supporting creation of FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION REPORTS (AS 9102/FAIR)
  • Proficient with Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
  • Able to work in regulated environments

Responsibilities

  • Review aero-engine hardware at Receiving and process orders for Shipping.
  • Inspect parts using gaging, visual methods, and documentation.
  • Verify quality documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter data into customer systems and portals.
  • Assist in creating FAIR packages and quality records.
  • Identify and document non-conforming material.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and team members.
  • Maintain organized records and data integrity.

What You Will Do:

  • Primary: Working at a Connecticut based A&D Industry Small Parts Distribution Center, your primary work will involve the review/processing of aero-engine hardware at Receiving as well as orders ready for Shipping.This will involveInspection(gaging parts, visual review), the Verification of associated quality documents (availability, accuracy, and completeness), and the entry of technical data (Quality Records) into both internal customer systems/databases as well as their customer’s data submittal portals.
  • Secondary: SupportFirst Article InspectionReport (FAIR) packages creation by providingFAIInspectionand Quality Record verification for others.
  • Spot, segregate, and document Non-Conforming Material when encountered.
  • Interact w/ multiple computer systems / software .
  • Collaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team leader, Peers.
  • Help Quest Global grow while you learn and develop your career.

What You Will Bring:

  • AS-Technical Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant experience to role
  • Alternate: 5+ years relevant experience to role with no / non-tech degree
  • Other Technical Certifications (DQR, CQT, CQE – noteworthy)

Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:

  • Reading and applying Blueprints /Quality Requirementsinformation to task,
  • Working level understanding ofGD&Tand how it relates to gaging.
  • PerformingManual Inspectionsusing Hand Gages,Optical Comparators, and Advanced (Johnson) Thread Gages along withVisual InspectionandDigital Photographic documentation.
  • Obtaining, Reviewing, Comprehending, Verifying, and Compiling Technical Records and Quality documents – includingC of C’s.
  • Entering technical data into forms and systems / retrieving data accurately.
  • Supporting creation ofFirst Article InspectionReports (AS 9102FAIR).
  • Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook(daily capable user).
  • Prior demonstrated ability to focus on semi-recurring tasks.
  • Operating in procedure based and regulatory controlled environments.
