The role requires knowledge of basic quality principles, skill in graphic presentation, ability to evaluate trends and experience in working with department heads, Physicians and regulatory agencies. This role also includes management/oversight of employees.

Analyzes and manages reporting of data Completes quality reviews or reports at the direction of the director. Identifies areas for further investigation and need for further 'drill down' of data. Designs and maintains organization wide quality scorecard. Prepares Quality Council reports including graphs, summary level data on all quality initiatives. Maintains appropriate databases and reporting structures/media. Effectively communicates with physicians, staff, peers using all mediums. Manages improvement projects Target an annual completion of projects, which meet project guidelines. Coordinate final reports on each project. Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on selected projects through the project tracking system and management/project reviews. Actively lead teams and provide individual contribution in problem solving efforts on selected projects to improve quality, reduce cost and improve processes. Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process improvement goals. Provide assistance and be a resource to functional departments in identifying, planning and implementing Six Sigma projects. Work with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the benefit of a Six Sigma project.

Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs). Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills. Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
