The role requires knowledge of food technology, microbiology, and chemistry sufficient to fulfill the needs of this position. An overall knowledge of quality assurance management procedures, HACCP, FSMA, and GFSI is essential. The ability to work effectively cross-functionally in a professional manner and to work with minimal supervision while executing job expectations timely is required. Effective communication with plant personnel, raw material suppliers, sales staff, customer service personnel, and the QA/RA team is crucial. The ability to manage and motivate direct reports positively and productively is also important. Excellent analytical and organizational skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently on projects and as a team member. The role requires up to 30% travel time, within the US visiting plants and supplier plants, with potential international travel to facilities across the globe. Typical office hours are 8 am to 5 pm. The position involves overseeing the Central Quality and Food Safety Team, consisting of a team lead, two Food Safety Specialists, and a contractor. The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
