Job summary

SiouxCityJobList is seeking a reliable Quality Assistant to support the Quality Department in ensuring products meet company, customer, food safety, and regulatory standards. You will perform routine inspections and audits throughout production to uphold quality and safety.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to document results accurately. You will collaborate with Production and other departments to address issues and help implement corrective actions,

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct inspections and audits accurately.
• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain detailed records.
• Basic computer skills.
• Previous experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, production, or food safety preferred.
• HACCP, GMP, or food safety experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality and food safety inspections throughout production.
• Monitor production processes for compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Conduct and assist with internal quality, food safety, and sanitation audits.
• Complete audit documentation and follow up on findings and corrective actions.
• Assist with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety programs.
• Inspect products for quality, specifications, labeling, and packaging requirements.
• Collect and document samples, inspection results, and quality records.
• Identify, document, and report quality or food safety concerns.
• Assist with investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality and audit records.
• Work closely with Production and other departments to address and resolve quality issues.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Perform other Quality Department duties as assigned.
