Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and balancing department priorities with plant locations
• Overseeing training of all department employees and ensuring cross-training
• Providing support to manufacturing engineers, machine operators, supervisors, and planners
• Performing audits around the plant
• Creating work requests to address equipment issues
• Working with outside vendors to maintain calibration/service contracts
• Considering new technologies for manufacturing and deciding if new inspection equipment is needed
• Understanding roles in the quality department to fill in when needed
• Writing work instructions for new equipment as needed
• Collecting data and providing analyses
• Vendor visits for qualification and capability assessment and for quality discussions
• Leading project management initiatives and coordinating plant managers for issue reviews
