Job summary

Abbott in Westfield, IN is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician II for the 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) to help support manufacturing by implementing corrective and preventative actions and assisting engineers with process control improvements.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience in a quality-system environment; duties include training operators and contributing to new-product introductions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience.
• Experience in a quality system environment and data analysis.
• Ability to perform moderately complex technical tasks and training.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to engineering to support manufacturing.
• Assist in identifying manufacturing issues and root cause with corrective actions.
• Train operators on basic processes and engineering changes.
• Develop process improvements to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
• Support process development during new product introduction.
• Collect, measure, and record data for qualification and validation studies.
• Maintain lab notebook and support testing as needed.
