Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior Quality Engineer to build and lead the QMS, drive quality readiness for New Product Introductions, and partner with design, process, and supply chain teams in Reading, MA. The role focuses on DFMEA/PFMEA, metrology, MRB, and supplier quality to ensure products meet stringent requirements.

Applicants should have 7+ years in quality engineering, strong data analytics, and leadership experience in high-mix environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; required.
• Experience leading quality engineering teams in high-volume electromechanical environments.
• 7+ years in quality engineering; 3+ years in leadership.
• Expertise with APQP/PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans, and core quality tools.
• Experience managing a metrology lab and MRB processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Engineering for pilot and high-volume production.
• Own IQC, in-process inspection, and final product acceptance processes.
• Drive supplier quality with PPAP, SCARs, and supplier development.
• Oversee metrology lab operations, CMM programming, and measurement validation.
• Conduct RCA using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and fault tree analyses.
