Job summary

LineVision, Inc. in Boston, MA is offering a Quality Engineering Co-op onsite to build automated health monitoring tools and analyze telemetry data from a deployed sensor network.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail when monitoring systems and documenting findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Project management abilities to track multiple device issues simultaneously, prioritize escalations, and drive resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Initiative and curiosity to dig into problems, ask clarifying questions, and propose improvements to quality monitoring processes.
• Experience with Tableau, data visualization tools, or similar business intelligence tools for building dashboards is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Query device telemetry data using SQL, perform investigative analyses, and build dashboards to enable data-driven decisions on device reliability improvements
• Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Operations teams to investigate device issues and implement corrective actions

Build Python scripts and build the tools that keep LineVision's IoT sensor network running at peak performance; applying your CS skills to a real reliability engineering challenge.

The successful Quality Engineering Co-op will build automated health monitoring tools and analyze telemetry data from a deployed sensor network. You'll work directly with our Quality Lead to ensure LineVision's sensor network delivers reliable data to utility customers while learning reliability and quality engineering practices in a high-growth technology company. What will you do?

Work Schedule

The ideal candidate would be available from January 19-August 27 2027, working 40 hours a week. All co-ops will work from LineVision's Charlestown, MA headquarters 2-4 days per week, with specific schedules determined in collaboration with your direct manager.

LineVision has a standard US holiday schedule, and up to a week of additional unpaid time off is permissible. Upon successful internship or co-op completion, you will be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.

Compensation: $22 per hour
