The Quality Engineering Aide III will be responsible for ensuring quality and functionality of our products through controlled assembly processes and/or rigorous inspection procedures. This role requires strong technical acumen, hands‑on talent, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced inspection/production environment.
Compensation: $30.15 - $36.95
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate a wide variety of standard inspection or test equipment, including Zeiss CMM w/Calypso software, Keyence IM series microscope, Fisher XRF, DMM-multimeters, oscilloscopes, micrometers, height gages, and other measurement tools, to ensure or verify high‑quality incoming material, subassemblies, and systems in accordance with available instructions and specifications.
- Complete and update equipment records, calibration, travelers, job work orders, FAI, and other project documentation, including environmental and process indicators.
- Achieve required certifications and travel as necessary.
- Program, set‑up, calibrate, and inspect CMM, inspect machine shop processes, incoming, in‑process assembly, and final items to the required standard, including but not limited to QMS procedures, IPC‑610/620, J‑STD‑0001 + Space, NASA 8739 .1/.4.
- Verify and analyze test results against acceptability criteria (Customer ICD and drawings, ATP data sheets). Inspection scope includes incoming, in‑process, and final.
- Comply with a variety of documents including QA400, ICD, DWGs, test specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc., and make necessary recommendations for edits or changes in test procedures and specifications or processes to ensure compliance.
- Engage as a partner and mentor to peer inspectors and the quality team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related area of responsibility.
- Inspection experience in the Electronics or Aerospace industry.
- Experience with CMM inspection.
