Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five years of technical experience in Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and 8D tools.
  • AS9100 Auditor or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

  • Be the focal point towards suppliers for operational activities and contract management.
  • Manage supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, ensuring on-time, on-quality performance.
  • Assess supplier capacity, capability, and performance and contribute to supplier development.
  • Communicate with internal/external customers via service letters, meetings, and emails; support CI processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering
Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
Five years of technical experience in Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering
AS9100 Auditor or equivalent training
Root Cause Analysis / 8D tools

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Manager to join our procurement department based in Grand Prairie, TX (Dallas).

The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and supplying to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

Your Challenges
  • You will be the focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and an ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions
  • You need to be able to manage the supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for on-time, on-quality (and on-cost, when applicable) performance
  • Assessing the supplier capacity, capability, and performance; and contributing to the suppliers' development is a key element
  • We also need someone who has a comprehensive understanding of working with customer (internal/external) demands being manifested in various forms of communication (Service Letter Agreement, meetings, conference call, e-mails) and utilizing these through the CI process
Your Boarding Pass
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field, preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in the field of Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis E.g. Practical Problem Solving or similar 8D type tools
  • AS9100 Auditor or equivalent training
  • Team working mindset
