Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee, is seeking a Quality Engineer/Specialist in Wausau, WI to ensure products and processes meet quality standards and customer specs. The role blends QA and QC to drive defect prevention and product integrity.

Responsibilities include audits, root-cause analysis, CAPA, supplier quality support, and contributing to the Quality Management System. Occasional site visits are required; a technical engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or minimum 3 years' experience in a quality assurance or technical field.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Help in the development and deployment of the quality assurance plan for assigned areas.
• Oversee a system of process and product audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action activities for defects.
• Interact with the customer-facing Quality organization as needed.
• Support containment and analysis of Supplier Quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities in assigned areas.
• Assist in the implementation of the Quality Management System.
