Job summary

BD is seeking a Quality/Regulatory focused engineer in Nebraska to support manufacturing excellence and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO and related standards. You will lead Kaizen teams, investigate issues, implement process improvements, and collaborate across production, engineering and R&D to sustain high quality.

This is a full-time, on-site role at a major medical technology company. You will drive quality initiatives, participate in audits, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
• Preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience; internships, co-op experience, and relevant engineering projects will also be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support a variety of day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to work groups and project teams on quality and regulatory issues.
• Leads or participates on Kaizen teams to improve quality and reduce waste.
• Investigates and provides engineering solutions to quality-related manufacturing issues.
• Maintains familiarity with processes and products to evaluate defects and identify trends.
• Provides input for projects using FMEA, risk mitigation, plant validations, DOEs and other investigations.
• Lead projects using continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, etc.
