MBRAUN is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Department and ensure contractual compliance through review of customer contracts and standards, and by performing NQA-1 audits and CGD surveys as needed.

The ideal candidate will have five or more years of Quality Engineering experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience with NQA-1 and QAR projects and related audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Engineer supporting NQA-1 / QAR projects to meet contracts and specifications.
• Front End Project Quality review of customer documentation for NQA-1 / QAR projects.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, ANSI, AWS, ISO, DIN standards.
• Compose and approve QA documentation for NQA-1 / QAR projects.
• Perform NQA-1 audits / CGD Surveys on suppliers and qualify new suppliers.
• Plan and execute supplier audits and CGD surveys; travel to vendor sites.
• Issue corrective action reports and close CGS/NQA-1 audits.
• Assist QA Manager with QA questions and maintain ISO9001 and NQA-1 manuals.

Job Description

M. Braun, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Department. This person will be responsible for customer contract and specification review, national / international standards and specifications to assure contractual compliance, assisting in expanding our NQA-1 ASL, performing CSG Surveys and NQA-1 Audits as required. This individual should be highly motivated with the ability to prioritize projects and work well independently and with others.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should be extremely detail-oriented and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This individual will be interacting with internal MBraun employees and customers. This individual should be able to stay focused and have the ability to apply knowledge and common sense to carry out the detailed job functions below. This individual should possess five or more years of Quality Engineering experience. Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Lead Quality Engineer supporting M. Braun Inc. NQA-1 / QAR projects in order to meet customer contracts & specifications.
• Front End Project Quality review of all customer supplied documentation for NQA-1 / QAR projects.
• Familiarity with National & International Standards & Specification: ASTM, ASME, ANSI, AGS, AWS, ISO, DIN.
• Compose & approve all Quality Assurance documentation for specific NQA-1 / QAR projects.
• When required perform NQA-1 audits / CGD Surveys on legacy M. Braun Inc. suppliers, & assist in qualifying new suppliers for our NQA-1 ASL.
• Plan & execute Supplier audits and CGD surveys. Travel to perform audits at vendor sites as needed
• Issue corrective action reports and facilitate completion and successful closure of all CGS Surveys & NQA-1 audits.
• Assist the Quality Manager with general Quality Assurance questions, issues and concerns.
• Assist in maintaining all ISO9001 and NQA-1 manuals, procedures, operating instructions, and forms.
• Assist the Quality Manager in updating our NQA-1 QMS, Procedures & Operating Instructions as needed to revise to a newer standard revision.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma, Engineering Degree (Quality or Industrial preferred)

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Physical Requirement: Must have fine motor skills; ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit for most of the day. Mobility requirement must be enough to move between the office and the production floor and complete vendor site audits
• Visual Requirement: Must be able to read documents and a computer screen.
• Hearing Requirement: Must be able to hear and speak on the telephone and in person to convey information.
• Mental Requirement: Comprehension, Organization, Reasoning, Decision Making, Communication, and Math.
