Job summary

National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) invites students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science to join as a Quality Engineer intern. You will assist with basic testing, verify changes meet design specs, and contribute to release notes and documentation.

This internship runs May–August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience on real projects that support energy co-ops and communications organizations nationwide, collaborating with design teams, testing scenarios, and quality

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
Excellent telephone and email etiquette; professional communication.

Responsibilities

Assist and perform in basic level testing tasks to verify software changes meet design specification and are functioning within total quality management standards.
Research, test and report results of testing scenarios.
Write release notes and new system enhancement documentation.
Participate on design teams to better understand enhancements to products.
Test system documentation as necessary and suggest edits/enhancements.
Other duties as assigned.
