Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer to own key quality control processes, drive audits, and ensure ISO compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with cross-functional teams and report to the Quality Manager to deliver ongoing quality improvements.

The role requires 3+ years in quality control, a BS in Engineering, and hands-on experience with SPC principles and QMS tools. Travel to locations may be required as part of audits and training.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent, plus 3 years in manufacturing.
  • Experience implementing quality systems and process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and audits.
  • Proven ability to lead or participate in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve CAPA plans and close follow-up.
  • Perform failure analyses and root cause investigations.
  • Execute internal audits on QMS/EMS ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Coordinate UL and other regulatory factory audits.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Procurement to meet quality standards.

About the job

As a Quality Engineer, you will take ownership of key quality control processes, including audits, fall-out management, and ISO compliance, to ensure products and practices meet company and industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, implement improvements, and support continuous compliance with ISO requirements. This hands-on role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a drive to achieve results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will report directly to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve Product and Processes Corrective and Prevention Action Plans.
  • Assess and evaluate all reliability testing, equipment service and calibration and the verification process.
  • Perform failure analyses, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
  • Execute internal audits on QMS, EMS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Coordinate UL (Underwriter’s Laboratory) and other regulatory factory audits.
  • Conduct regular conference calls with customers or vendors and provide reports as needed.
  • Work with internal Production, Engineering, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Program Managers and Procurement to meet quality standards.
  • Develop proactive solutions and implement Quality department strategies across the organization.
  • Perform additional assessment and analysis as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline plus 3 years of experience including a combination of 2+ years in manufacturing, 3+ years in quality control and 3+ years in a leadership position or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Proven understanding of mechanical drawing and/or tools.
  • Should have a good understanding of server level component design and operation, as well as computer system level integration processes and interoperability.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Hands on experience with quality system training including understanding of SPC (Statistics Process Control) principles and tools.
  • Established ability prioritizing and managing multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high volume, and diverse environment across functions to produce expected results.
  • Able to work as business needs require which may include long days, occasional evenings and weekends, and travel to all manufacturing and warehouse locations, for business meetings or training.
