Job summary

Fenner Precision Polymers, a Michelin Group company, seeks a Quality Engineer to drive product quality and process improvements in our PA operations. You will partner with design, manufacturing, and supplier quality teams to resolve issues and ensure customer requirements are met.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in quality engineering, strong problem-solving and project leadership, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible quality engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality systems, customer and supplier quality, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
  • Investigate product, process, customer, and supplier quality issues.
  • Utilize quality tools and data analysis to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality standards, procedures, and process controls.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and quality management system requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support new product introductions, process improvements, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Leads complex quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing…

The Quality Engineer supports product quality, manufacturing processes, and quality systems to ensure products consistently meet customer and company requirements. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, support compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
  • Investigate product, process, customer, and supplier quality issues.
  • Utilize quality tools and data analysis to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality standards, procedures, and process controls.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and quality management system requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support new product introductions, process improvements, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Leads complex quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drives resolution of significant customer, supplier, and manufacturing quality issues.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced engineers and technicians.
  • Influences process improvements and quality system enhancements across multiple functions.
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For…

We're seeking a team member who:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible quality engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality systems, customer and supplier quality, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring team members and leading complex quality initiatives
