Job summary

Quantum Space in Rockville, MD or Hawthorne, CA seeks a Quality Engineer II to support hardware build, integration, and test across spacecraft programs. This hands-on role drives product quality, process discipline, and continuous improvement throughout I&T.

You will lead root-cause investigations, apply RCCA/SPC/FMEA, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and calibration requirements while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver reliable, flight-worthy

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of directly related quality or engineering experience in aerospace or high-reliability hardware.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation and verify hardware against requirements.
• Experience leading RCCA/CAPA investigations to closure.
• Hands-on experience supporting hardware integration and test environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for I&T processes.
• Interpret drawings, specs, tolerances, BOMs, to verify product conformity.
• Lead investigations into quality escapes using RCCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone.
• Apply RCCA, SPC, and FMEA tools to improve product and process quality.
• Support inspections and tests across hardware build and pre-launch activities.
