LPI Corporation in New York, NY seeks a Quality Engineer to support documentation of quality, inspection, production and process improvement on aerospace products. You will develop inspection plans, coordinate non-conformances, perform RCA and corrective actions, and review first article inspections while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive lean improvements and reduce waste.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 2 years’ experience are required.

This position provide support for documentation of quality, inspection, production and improving processes on complex aerospace products.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
English Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance and Standard Measurement for Aerospace products
Proficient with MS Office Suite, Minitab, CMM Programming is a plus; 3D CAD Software is a plus.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting of 10 pounds.
Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but have some exposure to the manufacturing floor which has mid to high noise level with exposure to manufacturing machinery / equipment.
