Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Engineer II in Colorado to ensure products meet quality standards across manufacturing, engineering and suppliers. You will resolve disposition issues, support quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with multiple teams and customers.

Responsibilities include leading small projects, maintaining QA documentation, and assisting with new product transfers. A degree in engineering with relevant experience and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in use of personal computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Experience with quality systems and problem-solving methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day resolution of product dispositioning (scrap, rework, non-conformance records) and coordination with peers and other departments or suppliers.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) and contribute content for weekly area meetings.
• Support CAPAs, NCs, audits, and complaint handling; drive defect reduction initiatives.
• Support process improvement and optimization with proactive quality methods.
• Provide technical quality support for customer interactions and for successful new product transfers.
• Maintain documentation for Quality System activities.

What will you do?

General:

• Full use and application of principles, theories, and concepts in major field of specialization.
• Provides solutions to a variety of problems using standard techniques.
• Works under general supervision and follows established procedures.
• Leads small project or sub-project as part of a greater project.
• Primarily intra-organizational with less frequent interorganizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
• Peer recognized within work group.

Specific:

• Responsible for applicable area’s day-to-day resolution of product dispositioning (scrap, rework, non-conformance records) through direct involvement as well as coordination with peers and other required departments or suppliers.
• Participate in applicable area’s Quality Improvement Committee (QIC), or equivalent operations reporting, through generation of content and/or presentation during weekly area meetings.
• Participate in & support favorable Quality site metrics such as CAPAs, NCs, Audits, & Complaint handling
• Participate in maintaining process improvement and optimization concentrating on proactive methodologies supporting defect reduction.
• Interface and provide technical support on quality issues with the customer as needed.
• Maintain appropriate documentation as required for Quality System activities.
• Provide technical support for successful new product transfer for established or new customers.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related field with 1-2 years relevant experience, or Bachelor’s plus Master’s degree, or 4-8 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

Preferred Experience Requirements:

• Working knowledge of a manufacturing process such as Turning, Finishing, or Sterile/non-sterile Packaging.
• Medical device manufacturing within FDA Title 21 CFR Part 820 & ISO 13485.
• Gage metrology and generation of inspection plans.
• Identifying and leading process improvement projects.
• Nonconformance, CAPA, Audit observations and complaint handling.
• Validation experience (IQ/OQ/PQ) for product, process, equipment and/or software.
• Six Sigma and Lean tools such as DMAIC, SPC, process & value stream mapping.
• Statistical analysis that includes ANOVA, DOE, Weibull, GR&R, Capability, FMEA, KT and SPC as required.
• Customer requirements, specifications & change review process and incorporation.
• Quality documentation Change Management initiation and resolution.
• Proficiency preferred in use of EtQ reliance software, BabtecQ Inspection software, Windchill Change Management software, ComplianceWire Training software, Minitab or equivalent statistical software.
• ISO 8 and/or ISO 9 environmental clean room interaction may be present.

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
