Job summary

HGC Industries is seeking a Quality Engineer IId to collaborate with Operations and Engineering to prevent defects and ensure customer requirements for automotive programs are met. This role oversees customer and supplier quality, conducts audits, and drives continuous improvement within IATF16949/ISO14001 frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical field, or 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Quality Engineering.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus.
  • IATF 16949 or ISO 14001 auditor certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years in automotive is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop processes and documentation supporting the quality management system, including APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA.
  • Conduct product and process audits, inspections, and identify non-conforming product.
  • Lead external and internal corrective actions.
  • Provide quality support to customers during product development.

Job Title: Quality Engineer IIDepartment: QualityReports To: Quality ManagerClassification: Full-Time, ExemptLocation: On-SiteJOB OVERVIEW:The Quality Engineer works with Operations and Engineering to establish processes, documentation and training to prevent defects and meet customer requirements for automotive customers. The QE will also be responsible for managing assigned customers and suppliers. This will be accomplished through strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a team while complying with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards. The Quality Engineer contributes to the HGC company mission by building positive relationships with coworkers, customers, and suppliers. Success for a quality engineer will result in trusting relationships, improved processes, and improved quality systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Works with Engineering and Operations to develop processes and documentation supporting our quality management system.
