Job summary

Fluor Corporation, a leading government contractor, seeks a qualified quality professional for nuclear project assignments. You will apply quality principles to a range of design, procurement, and turnover activities on critical federal projects in the United States.

The role includes performing quality reviews of design output documents and supplier submittals, coordinating inspection and test plans, resolving corrective actions, and maintaining relationships with engineering and supply chain

Qualifications

  • Accredited four-year degree in engineering and four years of related work experience.
  • Strong communication across management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and visitors.
  • Ability to learn applicable local, state/province, and federal guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and time-conscious, results-driven work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality reviews of design output documents and procurement packages for compliance with project quality programs.
  • Perform quality reviews of supplier submittals for procurement quality requirements.
  • Coordinate reviews of supplier procedures and inspection and test plans.
  • Perform quality reviews of turnover documentation for project quality compliance.
  • Document, evaluate, and resolve issues within the corrective action program.
  • Contribute to mitigation of quality risks and resolution of client quality concerns.
  • Maintain relationships with engineering and supply chain stakeholders.

This position applies knowledge of quality principles and practices to a range of nuclear project assignments. This role executes a wide variety of technical and administrative work on a nuclear project.

  • Perform quality reviews of design output documents and procurement packages to determine compliance with project quality program requirements.
  • Perform quality reviews of supplier submittals to determine compliance with procurement quality requirements.
  • Coordinate reviews of supplier procedures and inspection and test plans.
  • Perform quality reviews of turnover documentation to determine compliance with project quality requirements.
  • Document, evaluate, and resolve issues within the corrective action program.
  • Contribute to mitigation of quality risks and resolution of client complaints regarding quality issues.
  • Maintain relationships with engineering and supply chain stakeholders.
Basic Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • Familiarity with ASME NQA-1.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Familiarity with 10 CFR Part 21 and ISO 17025:2017.
