Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Yankton, SD is seeking a quality engineer to develop, implement and maintain QA protocols for in-process and finished products.

This role ensures compliance with company standards and government regulations while driving continuous quality improvements. The position requires collaboration with Engineering, Inspection and Production teams, support for ISO-9001/IAFT16949 audits, and occasional travel to customers and Vishay facilities to advance standardized

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with knowledge of quality specifications such as ISO-9001, IAFT16949, etc.
• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee)
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills necessary (verbal, written)
• May occasionally travel to customers to resolve quality issues and to other Vishay facilities to assist in internal audits and to develop standardized procedures.

Responsibilities

• Define and specify quality criteria, test equipment and inspection requirements under supervision.
• Coordinate between Engineering, Inspection and Production for quality and process efficiency.
• Generate monthly quality reports and perform trend analysis.
• Review corrective actions and assign responsibilities for completion.
• Assist in ISO-9001 and IAFT16949 audits.
• Review supplier documents for quality requirements and inspection instructions.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process quality improvement.
• Assist with quality surveys by customers or government teams and document applications to specs.
