Job summary

FM Industries in Tempe, AZ seeks a Quality Engineer I to drive quality goals and proactively meet customer expectations. You will work cross-functionally to identify causes of potential failures and implement corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers as needed.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or 1–2 years in manufacturing, experience with ASME 15.5 GD&T, and strong communication skills for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 1–2 years manufacturing experience (semiconductor equipment preferred).
• 1–2 years’ experience ASME 15.5 GD&T.
• Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present information to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Capture internal quality performance data and drive improvements with process owners.
• Ensure timely resolution of failures and corrective actions.
• Perform internal process audits and develop quality plans to meet ISO standards.
• Analyze specifications and processes to determine best practices for quality.
• Lead CIP, 6S, Kaizen and root-cause actions to achieve Best-in-Class quality.
