Job summary

Precision Power Solutions (PPS), a division of EnerSys, seeks a Quality Engineer I to ensure customer contractual compliance, drive continuous improvement, and uphold ISO 9001/AS9100 standards. You will review drawings, lead inspections, and coordinate quality plans across engineering and manufacturing.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven analysis, and regulatory awareness in a plant environment. A Bachelor's in Engineering and QA knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience in Quality.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
• Proficiency with standard measuring and inspection equipment.
• Basic understanding of statistics and statistical analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical requirements, specifications, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an objective technical liaison between the company and customers regarding quality requirements.
• Coordinate and support First Article Inspections (FAI), customer inspections, and government inspections.
• Develop and implement product and process quality plans to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Establish and maintain controls for production equipment and devices impacting quality.
• Review engineering drawings and process instructions for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve in-process quality issues with Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Monitor product/process performance to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Support internal and external quality/process audits from preparation to follow-up.
