Qualifications

  • Quality Engineering technologist education with 1–3 years of experience or an engineering degree in electrical/mechanical or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing and demonstrated applicable engineering skills.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Experience may substitute for degree.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Travel as needed, including potentially international.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, reviews and confirms daily quality performance of assigned production lines.
  • Tracks in-process defects and identifies improvement activities to reduce target defects.
  • Investigate quality problems/concerns of the OEM assigned.
  • Analyze and investigate root cause quality issues of the assigned OEM.
  • Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, fishbone, DOE, and SPC to develop robust countermeasures.
  • Compile analysis reports and track status to closure, reporting to OEM and management.
  • Establish and develop manufacturing operation procedures, equipment procedures, daily check items, and other documentation for assembly processes.
  • Support APQP/PPAP activities and perform process capability studies.
  • Report on OEM quality issues to management and maintain PFMEA, Process Quality Control Plan, and related documents.
  • Support communications with all departments to identify potential quality concerns and improvement activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap, rework and warranty risks.

Basic Position Duties
