Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee the quality of all products processed on the coil coating line. You will ensure compliance with customer specs and internal quality procedures.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs/WIs, leading continuous improvement, managing non-conforming materials, supporting audits, and serving as a technical resource for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering related studies.
• 3 years of experience in steel processing, manufacturing, or Quality Systems.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains ISO-compliant Quality and Environmental Management System across product realization processes.
• Lead and support ISO auditing and compliance activities.
• CAR/PAR problem solving, calibration control, SOP/WI/Forms development and maintenance.
• Dispositions non-conforming materials (HFI) and manages non-conforming material in production.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.
