Job summary

Novanta is seeking a Quality Engineer contractor to ensure products and services meet customer expectations and drive continuous improvement. You will conduct audits, develop quality plans, investigate complaints, and analyze data with a focus on reducing quality costs while maximizing customer satisfaction.

This project assignment will last until early 2027, with collaboration across cross-functional teams and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methods.
• Ability to analyze data using statistical tools and software.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

As a Quality Engineer contractor, you will ensure products and services meet customer expectations. You'll identify quality issues, enhance control processes, and drive continuous improvement. Your goal will be to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing quality costs by delivering high-quality products.

This project assignment will last until early 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting product and process audits to identify areas for improvement
• Developing and implementing quality control plans and procedures
• Investigating and resolving customer complaints related to product quality
• Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Providing training and guidance to production teams on quality control processes % automated test cases

Requirements:

• Education - Possess a Bachelor of Science in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
• Experience - Have experience with quality control methods such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
• Skill - Be able to analyze data using statistical tools and software.
• Skill - Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Skill - Possess excellent project management, analytical and problem-solving skills working collaboratively with cross -functional teams and customers
