Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Associate to join their team in Arlington, TX. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or technical (STEM) discipline from an accredited college or university, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and the ability to travel are also required.

The Quality Engineer Associate will be responsible for:

  1. Reviewing documentation related to manufacturing processes: Ensuring quality products are delivered to customers.
  2. Supporting Supplier IPTs and production sites: Reviewing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
  3. Analyzing and resolving process issues: Addressing issues from basic to complex.
  4. Leading program corrective action meetings: Identifying trends, aiding in problem resolution, and ensuring commitments are met.
  5. Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards: Dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying containment requirements, and determining root causes and corrective actions.
  6. Performing assessments and audits: Ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001/AS9100 standards.
  7. Evaluating design assurance activities and process methodologies: To prevent impacts on production velocity and quality.
  8. Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel: Addressing quality issues.
  9. Utilizing lean initiatives: Focusing on waste reduction and continuous improvement.
  10. Making final product acceptability decisions.
Desired Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A technical degree, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong organizational skills to track multiple activities, prioritize tasks, and interpret specifications for compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and collaboration skills.
  • Effective presentation, problem-solving, and communication skills (written, oral, technical).
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance).
Work Schedule and Location

This role offers a 4×10-hour day schedule, with three days off per week. It is based in Arlington, TX, with part-time remote telework, and specific weekly schedules discussed during hiring.
