The successful candidate will bring to the table robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities, a mindset geared towards continuous improvement, and the facility to collaborate across departments with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct root causes analysis and problem-solving initiatives for internal quality discrepancies, such as yield loss, rework, and returns.
  • Engage with Production and Engineering teams to enhance control plans, inspection criteria, and testing methodologies.
  • Lend support to New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and their validation.
  • Carry out supplier qualifications to confirm alignment with quality and performance standards.
  • Administer supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • In collaboration with Procurement and Engineering, define and uphold quality requirements for incoming materials.

  • Preserve and update quality documentation, encompassing control plans, inspection records, and work instructions.
  • Contribute to internal audits and uphold compliance with ISO 9001 and client-specific standards.
  • Aid in the tracking and reporting of quality metrics, including DPPM, NCR trends, and defect rates.
  • Employ statistical software, such as JMP, for data mining and analysis to fuel quality enhancement projects.

Requirements:

  • A strong command of quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, 8D, SPC, and root cause analysis.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage) and SharePoint.
  • Experience with data analysis using statistical software (e.g., JMP) is highly desirable.
  • An ASQ certification (CQE, CQA) or a Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred.
  • Experience in small to mid-sized, dynamic manufacturing environments is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of optics, cable assembly, or analogous technologies is beneficial.
