Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist in Alabama to drive QA system implementation across departments and lead cross-functional teams in 8D corrective actions. You will apply Ishikawa and 5-Why analyses, develop data collection tools, and maintain PFMEA and PPAP standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in an engineering-related field with 2+ years in automotive manufacturing, plus Six Sigma certification. Knowledge of molding, painting, and assembly is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in a relevant engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.
  • Experience with IATF 16949 quality standard.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to generate and implement 8D corrective actions.
  • Ability to review and revise PFMEA.
  • Knowledge of PPAP requirements.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Preferred knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding, painting and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure QA management system is implemented and complied across affected departments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to generate 8D corrective action reports and implement actions.
  • Utilize Ishikawa charts, 5-Why analyses and other brainstorming tools.
  • Develop tools to collect and analyze data (trend and Pareto charts).
  • Generate appropriate charts from a database.
  • Update Control Plans and Work Instructions and other documents.
  • Participate in PFMEA reviews.
  • Conduct statistical studies and analyze data to determine actions.
  • Conduct gage studies and determine actions.
  • Prepare PPAP documents as needed.
  • Implement error-elimination measures and process optimization.
  • Ensure high quality of supplied parts through regular monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with CNCA-C11-09:2014 rules for interior trim parts and related updates.

Job description

About the role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the implementation of and compliance with the QA management system by all the affected departments
  • Coordinates Cross functional teams to generate and 8D Corrective Action report and to implement the agreed upon action items
  • Utilizes brainstorming tools such as Ishikawa charts, 5-Why Analysis and others
  • Develop tools to collect and analyze data (trend and pareto charts)
  • Can generate appropriate charts from a database
  • Updates Control Plans, Work instructions and other documents
  • Participates in PFMEA reviews
  • Conducts Statistical studies, analyzes data and determine proper course of actions
  • Conducts Gage Studies, analyzes data and determine proper course of actions
  • Participates with the preparation of pertinent PPAP documents
  • Error elimination measures and process optimization
  • Ensuring a high level of supply quality by regular quality monitoring of purchased parts
  • Ensures that the requirements of China's Implementation Rules for Compulsory
  • Certification of Motor Vehicle Products (for interior trim parts: CNCA-C11-09:2014) are fulfilled and that the complete implementation is secured and adjusted periodically according to the given changes
Background:
  • Bachelor's in Industrial, Mechanical, or any related Engineering degree, Economics, Business Administration or relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in the position in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry
  • Quality management systems, automotive (IATF 16949 Standard)
  • Experience with leading cross-functional teams in generating and implementing full 8D Corrective Actions reports
  • Can review and revise PFMEA
  • Knowledge of PPAP requirements
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding; painting and assembly processes
