Job summary

Ryan Companies USA, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure quality across all project phases from inception to turnover. You will support commissioning, turnover, and root cause analysis, and review docs to ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements.

The role requires collaboration with suppliers and project teams, site audits, and participation in safety training. Travel may be necessary to support project success and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Three years of related experience in construction project management.
• Experience focusing on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• High level of professionalism, honesty and integrity.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project success.
• Knowledge of complex data center MEP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture and share lessons learned with suppliers and project teams.
• Support commissioning, punch list, and turnover activities.
• Recommend effective corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances and quality issues.
• Attend factory witness tests for OFCI and CFCI equipment and systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify, resolve, and implement solutions to quality issues.
• Provide Quality Control by reviewing Construction Documents for errors and omissions.
• Generate startup reports to document equipment readiness.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, and control systems testing and submit related documentation, including testing and calibration reports and turnover packages.
• Conduct routine job site audits and site walks to ensure quality installations, compliance with codes, and adherence to safety requirements.
• Attend required safety training and comply with company and site safety regulations and requirements.
