Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical major.
  • Coursework in Statistics, Materials and Manufacturing Processes.
  • Four-year engineering degree (BSME/BSMS/BSEE) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve production issues on the floor related to SPC and quality containment.
  • Participate in IQC & OQC quality inspections.
  • Lead CAPA activities and determine root causes.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Collaborate with departments and support PDP deliverables.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers on quality questions.
  • Coordinate metrology lab activities and Gage R&R.
  • Contribute to Process FMEA documentation.
  • Participate in MRB and disposition of discrepant materials.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Production Floor Support: Takes a hands-on approach to resolve production issues regarding Statistical Process Control (SPC), discrepant material, issue containment and resolution activities.
  • Incoming & Outgoing Quality Control (IQC & OQC): Participates in quality inspection activities for incoming components and outgoing products.
  • Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA): Represents Quality and participates in CAPA activities related to the on-going support. Works in conjunction with other team members to determine root cause analysis and proper customer communication.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify, develop, and participate in continuous improvement plans for Quality. Improvements target new capabilities, processes, systems, satisfaction, quality, cost, delivery, and safety using Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Project Deployment Process (PDP): May participate in new product development teams. Provides PDP deliverables as assigned and participates in project gate review activities.
  • Customer and Supplier Contact: Customer and supplier contact as required to resolve questions concerning quality issues. Initiates, prepares and/or reviews items such as 8D reports.
  • Measurement and Correlation: Works directly with the metrology lab to determine measurement methods and access and correct measurement correlation issues.
  • Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R): Prepares and conducts Gage R&Rs under the guidance of Senior Engineers.
  • Process FMEA: Prepares and conducts Process FMEA documentation under the guidance of Senior Engineers.
  • Material Review Board (MRB): May participate in the material review board. Provides quality input into the disposition of discrepant materials and products. Competes documentation including DPD’s, IQC part review and inspection reports.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in technical major
  • Coursework in Statistics, Materials and Manufacturing Processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years technical college degree in an engineering discipline (BSME, BSMS, BSEE) or equivalent
  • Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes
  • Exposure to statistical process engineering techniques
  • Exposure to metrology and calibration
  • Experience working in an ISO registered facility

Reell Precision Manufacturing offers competitive compensation and benefits. For this exempt position, the pay range is expected to be between $77,000 -$86,000 annually. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate of the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as the actual work location.
