Job description

PROFILE:

Our client is a newer manufacturing plant in the Summerville area who is very actively growing their organization and still very much so in "start up" mode as there are new launches and activities taking place at the plant every week. Our client is in the automotive industry, supplying drivetrain components to their customers.

POSITION:

In the role of Quality Engineer, you will be taking on many tasks surrounding the launching of new products, production lines and continual quality improvements from a supplier, internal and customer perspective. With the being a new manufacturing plant there will be many PPAPs and other similar activities that will need to be done for the next 6 months or so but you will be a part of a very supportive and experienced team of other manufacturing professionals. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience working in an automotive manufacturing or other fast paced/ heavy industrial environment as a Quality Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have prior IATF 16949 experience or understanding
• Must have experience working as a Quality Engineer and have a thorough understanding of techniques such as 8D, 5why, root cause analysis, and customer and supplier quality experience
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Ideal candidates will have a post secondary education ideally with an Engineering emphasis
• Preference is given to candidates with Six Sigma certifications/ belts
