Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience in quality engineering.

• Experience in conducting quality inspections and managing quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection and apply techniques to identify nonconforming hardware.
• Measure parts and ensure inspectors are updated on measurement practices.
• Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Plan quality strategies and create required documentation.
• Operate CMM for ensuring product quality meets standards.
• Coordinate quality process improvements and act as a technical contact.

Quality Engineer

Quality, On-time Delivery and Customer Satisfaction are of the upmost importance to MBK Machine. The duties of this job are to maintain & continuously improve these metrics where possible. The duties of the quality manager are to oversee quality operations, ensure excellent quality control of product and maintain and uphold the quality management system.

Responsibilities

• Performing quality inspection, applying quality inspection techniques, and identifying nonconforming hardware.
• Measure parts using most applicable method and ensure other inspectors are up to date on best measurement practices.
• Perform first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
• Perform quality planning along with creation of bubble prints and required QC documentation to customer specifications.
• Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the quality of our products meets customer and industry standards.
• Develop CMM strategies to improve quality lab throughput.
• Record and log measurements for parts on AS9102 Form.
• Oversee and coordinate quality process improvements and implementations.
• Act as the main technical point of contact in the quality lab for other inspectors as well as a liaison between the quality department & shop operations.
• Offer solutions to advance the progress and modernization of the quality department.
• Safely working within a manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years minimum.
• Authorities: Instruct all levels of Operators, Setup and Programmers as needed to assure product quality as well as Quality Inspector Levels 1 & 2.

Compensation

MBK Machine would like to start the quality engineer position at a compensation rate of $30-41/hr (depending on technical knowledge, capability and experience) with a pay evaluation after 60 days of employment. This would be a full-time position Monday-Friday.
