BLADE (HDT) seeks an experienced Quality Engineer for its Mansfield, OH manufacturing facility. The role focuses on translating customer requirements into planned quality activities and leading quality plans across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Responsibilities include developing control processes, implementing inspections, coordinating First Article activities, and driving RCCA analysis with cross-functional teams. ISO standards and ITAR/EAR considerations apply.

Competenze

• Experience in quality or mechanical/manufacturing engineering.
• Proficiency in inspection and control methods and documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO standards or other Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of military specifications is preferred.

What We Need:

We are seeking an experienced, Quality professional for our Mansfield, OH manufacturing facility. This position develops and supports product quality system improvements and leads efforts to develop, maintain and deploy quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activities.

• In conjunction with engineering, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing personnel, the Quality Engineer develops and implements control processes and programs
• Develops quality plans and documentation requirements, including the use of statistically valid sampling methods, to evaluate product at every state of the manufacturing process
• Coordinates and prepares First Article Inspection, First Article Testing, PPAP and product launches
• In conjunction with engineering, develops inspection and testing methods, and interprets industry and customer product CTQ requirements
• Conducts internal and external quality audits in accordance with internal procedures and ISO standards
• Participates in disposition of non-conforming material and performs root cause corrective action (RCCA) analysis
• Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities
• Ensures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as work instructions, drawings, ISO standards and Military specifications
• Aids in the issuance of Corrective Actions both internally and externally
• Verifies calibration of equipment in accordance with ISO 9001:2015

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field such as Quality Systems. ASQ, CQE, or CQT certification is preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation
• Proficiency in SPC or other statistical control methodologies
• Familiarity with ISO standards or other Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of military specifications is preferred
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus
