Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS in Dalton, GA is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Director by assisting Quality Engineer II and Senior Quality Engineer with incoming inspections, product line patrol, and outgoing quality control.

The role aims to update internal quality rules, ensure adherence to high industry standards, and maintain manufacturing timelines. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in quality engineering are required, with fluent Korean and English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final goods’ quality in the warehouse.
• Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage process changes according to the company policy.
• Plan, conduct, and monitor tests and inspections on materials and products to ensure the quality of finished products.
• Regularly monitor and review data based on yield and each process quality.
• Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
• Provide trainings and support to Quality Engineering Team.
• Accurately record data and production information.
• Adhere to the Health & Safety procedures.
• Manage raw materials’ quality to ensure consistency and integrity.
• Support for machine calibration.
• Maintain, test, and troubleshoot quality instrumentation devices.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively within the team.
• Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled.
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, self-motivated and driven team player.
• Proactive approach toward various issues.
• Fluent in both Korean and English.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q Cells
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in either assembly and/or manufacturing environment.
• High level of work ethic toward improving organizational culture.
